As many of you have heard Dave from King RC suffered from a very serious injury recently and will be laid up for some time. I spoke with him today and I can honestly say he is in bad shape. With the injuries he has sustained and the imminent arrival of his first child he is feeling a little overwhelmed and disappointed in what could be a lost RC season. His first impression, as you read in the GLORCS post was to cancel both the points race and the Sprucewood as he will be out of commission until the middle of July. After talking with him today he has decided that the race scheduled for July 29 and 30th is offically cancelled, he just doesn't feel up to organizing it. However, we are please to announce that we at ORRC are going to step in to help King RC to ensure that the 6th Annual Sprucewood Invitational will go ahead as scheduled. We feel that it is important that this event go ahead as in it's 6th year this race has the potential to become the largest race in Canada and we are determined to see it happen.
We are disppointed to see another race fall from the schedule of the GLORCS. We realize this has been a bumpy start to the racing season but we are hoping you will continue to be patient. Currently Warlock is in talks to fill the empty date with another race so stay tuned for further updates.
In the meantime we ask that any inquires you have in regards to Sprucewwod be directed to me by PM. Again thanks for your pataience and happy racing.
